Focus Group

The demographics of the focus group were 11 males and 1 female. They were aged between 16-18. I asked them a question to see what I could improve on in my movies and they said more detail on the party bit in the “house in the woods’’. They said to perhaps include if she meets anyone or any new friends at the party to take drugs with her or if she just takes drugs by herself. They also said to include how she gets the drugs.

They said the ”house in the woods” name needs improving as its boring and plain. So I decided I should change the name to ”party house”. The way I thought of the name is because all of the killing and craziness started with Meredith consuming loads of drugs at a party turning her into a crazy maniac, and the house part is because most of the movie is based in the house.

People said they prefer the second one to the first because it had more detail and just generally liked the story. They liked the fact I explained the characters more and perhaps need more description on the characters in the film ‘’Party house’’

One question was how did the zombies learn to jump around and Parkour. I answered they learnt off people that used to live in the city before they were killed off.

Another question was how did the zombies learn off the people? I answered they learnt off the people that were currently living there. Like if one person was trying to run from a zombie and they climbed a wall the zombies would see how they climb a wall and copy them eventually climbing the wall. It will eventually progress where they will evolve and learn how to do new stuff.

What I’m going to do with my films ideas are take all the feedback into consideration to improve my film. I’ve improved it a bit already now I will improve it even more. For example, with the ‘’Party house’’ I will explain who the characters are and a bit about their background. With the ‘’Living Day’’ film I’ve explain more about how the zombies can Parkour and what happened to the city.

The idea I will take forward to production is ‘’Living Day’’ The reason being is because the general focus group agreed it was better than ‘’Party House’’ because they enjoyed the story more. They also said it had more detail including the actual story and the characters.
